William Nylander lets little brother Alexander Nylander move in

In previous years they were competitors. But ahead of the new NHL season, Alex Nylander has signed for the same club as William – and now he’s moving in with big brother.
– It will be really exciting, Alex says to Expressen.

One brother has already played over 650 games for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The other has yet to play anyone. When William Nylander28, and Alexander Nylander26, have encountered each other on the ice in North America, it was previously as rivals. Now they are suddenly teammates.

Alex has previously represented the Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins and most recently the Columbus Blue Jackets in the league – but his contract with the latter club expired after last season. Then Toronto hit straight away. The idea is that he will initially play for the AHL team Toronto Marlies.

The future of the brothers

Now that Alex is leaving the US for Canada, he will initially be living at his older brother William’s house. It is something that both look forward to very much. Maybe it can even help William feel motivated and happy to play before the new season?

– It will be really exciting. I’m really looking forward to it. To live with the brother and of course try to take my place there. And get my contract in the NHL, Alex tells Expressen and continues:

– Exciting as hell. We still hung out and lived with each other during the summer and had a lot of fun. So to do that while playing hockey will be wonderful. It will be great fun. Encourage each other and make sure we play better every match.

William Nylander: “We are best friends”

Even William feels attached to his little brother’s arrival. They normally hang out quite a lot, especially in the summer. He does not think that sharing the home with Alex will be a major adjustment.

– Great fun to have him come over and play in Toronto. Hopefully he can take his place and we can play together. We are best friends, so there will probably be no adjustment at all. We hang out with each other all the time in the summer. So it will probably just continue as normal, he says to the evening newspaper.

How wonderful that you are so positive about the move and that you will be able to live together again. Hopefully it helps both of you next season.
