One of those responsible for Romp’s appointment is Patrick Loenen, currently trainer of DVS’33 from Ermelo, but next year technical manager at Sportlust’46. “Officially my contract only starts on July 1, but it is logical that I am involved in the appointment of a new trainer,” says Loenen. “As a trainer I always want the best players, and as a technical manager I go for the best trainer. And in my opinion that is Willem Romp.”
