Dallas Stars have promoted Arttu Hyry and Carolina Hurricanes Juha Jääskä to their NHL crews.
The ice hockey club Dallas Stars announced on Thursday on their X account that they would be signing a Finnish forward Arttu Hyryn to his NHL crew.
Hyry, 23, has been playing in the AHL farm league with the Texas Stars this season, where he has been collecting nice power points. The Finnish striker’s points balance in his 29 games this season is 14+12=26. Hyry is the Texas Stars’ third leading scorer.
Hyry, who played in the last World Cup, moved to North America for this season. Last season, he collected 14+17=31 power points in his 55 regular season games in Kärpi. He scored three goals in the playoffs last season.
Dallas is seventh in the NHL’s Western Division. The team will host the Ottawa Senators early Friday Finnish time.
The Carolina Hurricanes, on the other hand, announced that they would raise the Finnish forward Juha Jääskän26, to his NHL team. Jääskä has collected 7+9=16 power points in his 25 games in the AHL team Chicago Wolves this season.
Carolina will face the Florida Panthers early on Friday, Finnish time.
A total of 48 Finns have appeared in the NHL this season, including 39 field players and nine goalkeepers. Hyry and Jääskä would increase the number to 50.
