The two leaders are expected to discuss the latest attempts at a ceasefire in the Ukraine War.
Yesterday talked Donald Trump with Vladimir Putin on the phone. During the conversation, Putin should have agreed to stop all attacks against Ukraine’s electricity grid and infrastructure for 30 days, according to the News Agency Reuters.
However, the Russian president has declined to sign the agreement for a 30 -day full ceasefire. In order for such to begin, Putin requires that all military assistance to Ukraine cease.
Just hours after Trump’s and Putin’s conversation, several cities were attacked in the Donetsk region. According to information, a hospital in the city Sumy should also have been hit by drone attacks during the night.
Volodyyr Zelenskyj believes that this violated Putin’s promise to stop attacks on electricity grids and infrastructure. In a post on X he writes like this:
“Today, Putin in practice rejected the proposal for a complete ceasefire”.
During the press conference, Zelenskyj confirms that he will have a conversation with Trump later today.
– It will be a conversation, and I will be very concise about this, he says according to Bloomberg.
