NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte says he is in close contact with Ukraine about the “victory plan” presented by President Volodymyr Zelensky and how it can end the war.
– We are in close contact with Ukraine to see how we can take the next step in a way that is effective and fruitful. I can’t give you all the details, but of course we discuss the victory plan with them and how we take it one step further, says Rutte during a press conference with Sweden’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M).
It is about Ukraine being in as good a position as possible when negotiations to end the war begin, Rutte continues.
During the EU summit, which begins on Thursday, the EU leaders will have a meeting with Zelenskyj.
– He is always very sincere in what they need and what other countries can contribute, says Ulf Kristersson.
