Wilfried NSonde tells Kimpa Vita the destiny of a sacrificed

Kongo, 1685. The kingdom, under Portuguese occupation, is nothing but a land of desolation. A little girl with moon eyes is born in the waters of the Mpozo River. His twin sister did not survive. The miraculous child is named Kimpa Vita, which means “the twin born of war”.

(Rebroadcast from 10/18/2023)

Growing up, Kimpa goes through trials, and soon his speeches of resistance magnetize. For her followers, she embodies hope for a better future, like an African saint linked to spirits. Her detractors reduce her to the rank of witch. Will Kimpa Vita, as adored as she is hated, succeed in reviving a people torn apart by conflict?

Inspired by a real character, The Moon-Eyed Queen tells with emotion the fate of a sacrificed woman.
