Wild nest drama Manse PP who were inches away from

Manse PP was very close to defeat in the first Superpesis final. The people of Tampere woke up in the last moments of the second period and rose to victory against Pori Pesäkarhu.

Manse PP got off the bridge in the last moments and won the first final of the women’s Superpesis with a score of 2–1 (1–2, 2–1, 1–0) against Pori Pesäkarhu.

The game went completely according to Pesäkarhuje’s script for a long time, but Manse PP woke up to fight for victory in the very last moments at the end of the second period.

– Yes, there have been rough starts before. It felt before the game that we have prepared very well and everything is on point. However, this team will not give up and it will not fall if we make mistakes. An absolutely insane performance, Manse PP’s game director Antti Vihtkari rejoiced.

The top scorer of Manse PP was able to create the first scoreless start only in the third inning of the second period. That’s when Manse got into the game when Saga-Angelia Raudasoja brought Lina Olenius at home, a 1–1 draw.

In the last inning, Manse won the period when Anna Lower-Kauhaluoman the coiled cubicle punch got stuck in between and Ella Korpela barely had time to get home. Korpela swooped a little past the nest, so the cent game was watched for a long time on video.

If the verdict had been different, the game would have ended in Tampere’s defeat, as there were already two fires under.

Consequently, Manse PP got to the super turn and celebrated the victory when Olenius missed the mark and Virpi Hukka easily managed to get home.

– A very cold-headed solution. All credit goes to Olenius, there was nothing to do, Urheilu’s expert Antti Yli-Saunamäki tightly.

– Let’s hit when there’s a place, Olenius said.

Manse PP had problems from the beginning

Manse PP’s game went off the rails already in the first inning, when after four batters there were three hits on the board. Tampere’s shots were in a very difficult place, and the team did not manage to turn this around before the last inning.

– We made some pretty bad mistakes in the beginning and the opponent was able to take advantage of them. We were able to raise the profile all the time and got close to our own level. An unconsciously tenacious group, Vihtkari added.

– We had prepared well for the game, but I don’t really know why we weren’t fully awake. Fortunately, we woke up for the second episode, Olenius stated.

Pesäkarhuje’s locker also caused difficulties for the people of Tampere Minttu Vettenrantawho made Mansen’s shots illegal with his passes.

There were also sign errors in Mansen’s game. Yli-Saunamäki thought that Manse changed his brand for the finals.

– The players seem to be really uneasy with the brand. Game leader Vihtkarik also looks at the order in which the colors are. A few situations looked like a sign error. That may be one reason why the game has been a mess.

Vihtkari admitted that there were problems with the mark in the match.

– There was a little trouble. We shouted the wrong things in stupid places. It’s part of the game, because there’s a lot of excitement.

Period win for the nesting bears

Päsäkarhut was on top of the game for a long time. It won the opening period with its good progress, because Silja Syrjälä ran away thanks to a sloppy booth punch all the way to the home nest and Emilia Itävalok too with his top start brought another run, enough for the period win, to the Pesäkarhui.

Päsäkarhut was very close to winning the entire opening final, but Manse PP used its last straw. Vihtkari promised the people of Tampere to improve their game for Sunday’s second final.

– I don’t dare to say percentages, but we are definitely much better. Especially in the indoor game, Vihkari said.
