Manse PP was very close to defeat in the first Superpesis final. The people of Tampere woke up in the last moments of the second period and rose to victory against Pori Pesäkarhu.
Manse PP got off the bridge in the last moments and won the first final of the women’s Superpesis with a score of 2–1 (1–2, 2–1, 1–0) against Pori Pesäkarhu.
The game went completely according to Pesäkarhuje’s script for a long time, but Manse PP woke up to fight for victory in the very last moments at the end of the second period.
– Yes, there have been rough starts before. It felt before the game that we have prepared very well and everything is on point. However, this team will not give up and it will not fall if we make mistakes. An absolutely insane performance, Manse PP’s game director Antti Vihtkari rejoiced.
The top scorer of Manse PP was able to create the first scoreless start only in the third inning of the second period. That’s when Manse got into the game when Saga-Angelia Raudasoja brought Lina Olenius at home, a 1–1 draw.
In the last inning, Manse won the period when Anna Lower-Kauhaluoman the coiled cubicle punch got stuck in between and Ella Korpela barely had time to get home. Korpela swooped a little past the nest, so the cent game was watched for a long time on video.
If the verdict had been different, the game would have ended in Tampere’s defeat, as there were already two fires under.
