TP-Link introduces two new range extenders with Wi-Fi 6 support. TP-Link RE705X and RE700X Range extenders can be used both wired and wirelessly.
The new models come with three different coverage options. Apart from Wi-Fi 6, devices that also support Gigabit Ethernet connection promise high speed. RE705X in the model While there are two external antennas, the other model antennas are placed internally. Dual-channel devices create a high-speed OneMesh-supported network. RE705X and RE700X can reach wireless speeds of 3,000 Mbps in total, including 2.402 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. Range extenders have a wider (160 MHz) bandwidth to prevent network performance degradation in homes where many devices are connected to the network. The devices also provide smart and wider coverage by directing the Wi-Fi signals towards the connected devices. Users can choose from three different coverage types in the Tether application. These options, which are determined as minimum, medium and maximum Coverage, can be easily changed again when desired. TP-Link’s two new range extenders also offer high speeds in wired connections.
