A forest has been planted bit by bit on the Langbroekerwetering near Wijk bij Duurstede since last January. It concerns a new piece of nature that will be added to the Nature Network of the Netherlands (NNN). This is a national plan in which the province of Utrecht must also contribute. The new forest that is now being planted adds 24 hectares to the Utrecht nature network. Another 600 hectares to go before the end of 2027.
