When it’s hot outside, there is often a puddle of water under the car when you park.
In some cases, it can be quite large amounts of water dripping from the car’s undercarriage.
The question is what this is due to, and if it is in any way dangerous for the car.
Probably water from the air conditioner
The most likely explanation for water dripping under the car is that the air conditioner has been working hard due to the hot weather.
When the air conditioner works to cool down the cabin, a lot of condensation forms, and this has to drain somewhere.

Nothing to worry about
As long as the liquid under the car is free of color and smell, it is probably just water, and the car otherwise seems problem-free, there is no reason to go to the workshop.

As I said, the most likely source is the air conditioner. It can also be water that flows out of the car’s cavities after it has been driven in the rain or washed.

Then you should visit a workshop
However, if the fluid is colored, smells synthetic or feels oily, the car may need a closer inspection.
If the car is not parked at home in your own parking lot when you discover the stain, however, you should remember that the stain may have been left by a previous car.

May cause wet floor mats
On cars that are a few years old, condensation from the air conditioning can also be the reason why the floor mats are wet.
In that case, it is likely that the small hoses that are supposed to lead out the condensed water under the car have become clogged or loosened.
If so, the fault must be rectified before the interior of the car or the cables running along the floor are damaged.
