Sara Forestier accuses Nicolas Duvauchelle of having slapped her on set in 2017, the actor denies and calls her a “mythomaniac”. An investigation has been opened, and the actress intends to file a second complaint.
The actress Sarah Forestier signed his return to the cinema at the end of 2024 for the film Three friends. It had been several years since the actress had moved away from film sets, explaining on the set of Quotidien that she “needs to rebuild herself” after being “slapped by an actor”. Since the filming of the film Good man in 2017 (film that she left following the incident she denounced), Sara Forestier accused the actor Nicolas Duvauchelle for slapping her.
This Tuesday evening in the Médiapart show A l’air libre, Sara Forestier confirmed having filed a complaint against the actor in March 2023 for acts of violence. The latter denied the accusations in several messages published on social networks on November 8, calling her a “mythomaniac” and a “false victim”. “I’m straight in my boots, I never slapped her,” he assures.
The actress reacted to Médiapart on December 3, considering that these were “defamatory lies” to Médiapart this Tuesday evening. “I know what I went through,” she assured at the microphone of Médiapart. “He slaps me, I say in front of everyone: ‘He slapped me, you take me to the police immediately’.” She told the investigative media that she intends to file a defamation complaint against the actor this week.
An open investigation
The Paris public prosecutor’s office confirmed this Wednesday, December 4 that a complaint had been filed on March 31, 2023 by Sara Forestier with the Privas public prosecutor’s office. Since August 30, 2024, it is the Paris public prosecutor’s office which has taken up the case, “after several failings by the complainant, from whom details had been requested. She denounced a slap and insults on a shooting which had taken place approximately six years previously (without date, location, witness or marital nature specified).” The 11th arrondissement police station was contacted for further investigations.
Nicolas Duvauchelle has already been the subject of complaints for violence or threats from former partners, specifies the public prosecutor. On the other hand, he adds that they were closed “on the grounds that no offense was sufficiently characterized, in May 2016, May 2019, July 2021″.
