Why is it so important to paint Sweden black?

Why is it so important to paint Sweden black

The debate about immigration and its costs caused both Annie Lööf and Märta Stenevi to go hard on Jimmie Åkesson.

– Why is it so important to paint Sweden black? Why is it so important to push people fleeing war?

Unsurprisingly according to Robert Aschberg and with every right according to Jimmie Åkesson, the Sweden Democrats’ party leader has chosen to highlight immigration and its costs during Aftonbladet’s party leader debate.

In his speech, he talks about irresponsible politics.

– Asylum-related immigration has cost a lot of money for decades. That is more than ten percent of the government’s expenditure. At the same time, we have welfare in chaos in large parts of the country.

Annie Lööf (C) went hard against Åkesson.

– This contempt for humanity. It’s absolutely horrible. Why is it so important to paint Sweden black? Why is it so important to push people fleeing war? she asks.

Åkesson responds by asking Lööf how many refugees she has helped with her policy.

– My moral compass tells me that people who have worked and toiled all their lives and contributed to welfare have the right to share in it when they get old. We put it on immigration and aid, that’s wrong, he says.

– I don’t care much for your moral compass. You want to deport mother and little sister if big brother commits a crime. Collective punishment, denunciation and military against the population. You want to deport mother and little sister if older brother commits a crime, answers Annie Lööf.

Stenevi: Get Åkesson and Andersson in the deal

Märta Stenevi (MP) thinks that the use of language about asylum immigration is a mockery of the welfare that Åkesson protects and brings up SD’s advertising campaign on the train, and the party’s own Twitter post about the train.

– But this is what we are about to get if we get Ulf Kristersson as prime minister. It is Tobias Andersson in the government office talking about return migration to Kabul where women are oppressed, starve and die. That is what we are facing on September 11, if Ulf Kristersson gets power, then we get Åkesson and Andersson in the bargain.

Even Annie Lööf takes up the tweet from Tobias Andersson (SD) and wonders how Åkesson can’t mark harder against such racist smearing.

– Isn’t it the case that we used the hateful racist term enough? Have we not watered it down enough? I think it’s a shameful view of how democracy should work, it’s not racism to prioritize Sweden, it’s to love Sweden, replies Jimmie Åkesson.
