SVT profiler Dusan Umicevic guessed how the hockey Allsvenskan final would end.
Now Modo star David Bernhardt is raging.
– It’s bullshit, he says.
The Allsvenskan hockey final is hot, and the first match between Modo and Djurgården, on Sunday evening, contained most of it. In an event full of speed and chances, in the end Modo was able to take the lead, after deciding in extra time.
Won the first game
One of the key players was, as usual, David Bernhardt. The offensively skilled defender has completely dominated during the season and in the playoffs, and in the first final against Djurgården he got a full 29 minutes of ice time. But Bernhardt was talked about even before the first match, for completely different reasons.
The Hockeyallsvenskan chose on its official website to let profiles predict how they think it will end before the match series between Modo and Djurgården. SVT profiler Dusan Umicevic was one to answer, and he chose to make an unexpected statement about David Bernhardt, who has a past in Djurgården.

Raging against the words
Bernhardt was recruited to Djurgården as a 16-year-old, and then he played in the Stockholm club for seven seasons. It was something that Umicevic pressed when he gave his prediction for the final.
“Modo’s best players are also Djurgårdars at heart. David Bernhardt. Who also has a secured contract in the SHL next season regardless of how it goes,” he answered.
But David Bernhardt himself disagrees with the claim. Instead, he rages against the words of the SVT profile, which he calls “bullshit”.
– He wrote that Djurgården would win easily over us and that I was a zookeeper. It’s just bullshit. Don’t know why he writes like that. I give everything for Modo and will win with Modo. Yes, I played for Djurgården for a few seasons and care about Djurgården and went to the matches with my junior mates. But now I belong to Modo and fight for them. Has Modo to thank for so much, says Bernhardt to Aftonbladet.
The next match between the teams will be played on Tuesday evening.
