Whole grain porridge, Laleh and a warning finger from the godfather of AI – here are three highlights from the Nobel party

Swedish apples and rose quince – the “Lemon of the North” – were some other ingredients that reappeared on the Nobel menu.

Laleh performed two songs, including the recently written song When good ain’t good. (See the entire performance on SVT Play.)

Towards the end of the evening, the Nobel laureates gave speeches to the approximately 1,300 seated guests. First up was one of the two physics prize winners, Geoffrey Hinton. He is usually called the godfather of AI technology – and dedicated the speech to raise a finger of warning for the technology he himself has helped to create.
