THE BEST PATISSIER 2022. Two candidates were eliminated from the Best Pastry Chef after the broadcast of episode 1, Wednesday September 7, 2022.
[Mis à jour le 7 septembre 2022 à 23h45] The Best Pastry Chef signed his return for his eleventh season this Wednesday, September 7, 2022. For this first episode, 16 candidates competed in the hope of qualifying for the rest of the competition. New for this season 11, participants were able to choose between two qualifying events: the chocolate cake or the fruit cake.
The chocolate test may have proved particularly complex for some candidates. Franklin, the oldest contestant in the show’s history, struggled to withstand the pressure of the contest, making a string of mistakes. At the end of this test, Alicia, Cléo, Vanessa and Karel qualified.
Conversely, the event centered on fruit jeopardized Manon, winner of the show En route for the best pastry chef, allowing Sébastien, Nils, Benjamin and Justine to continue the adventure for the following week. The eight remaining candidates were decided on a catch-up test, in which they had to embark Cyril Lignac and Mercotte on their dream trip. Najoua caused a sensation and qualified for next week, as did Manon, Sébastien, Franklin, Adelina and Hervé. It was finally Carine and Wiggings who were eliminated after the first episode of the Best Pastry Chef. However, they were able to face each other in a duel in the second part of the evening, in the secret kitchen, in the hope of being able to regain their place in the competition in the following weeks.

The Best Pastry Chef is a cooking show broadcast on M6 since November 26, 2012. During this pastry competition, amateur candidates must take up the culinary challenges launched by Cyril Lignac and Mercotte, the two jurors, until they reach the final.
