Who oh who wants to work at the polling station? Extra volunteers wanted due to corona

Who oh who wants to work at the polling station
A survey by RTV Utrecht shows that several municipalities are still looking for polling station members and vote counters for the municipal elections of 16 March. Volunteers are also being sought for the two extra voting days before.

Soest says that it is still looking for ten reserve members before March 16. Veenendaal is also looking for polling station members for the same day, in the case of chairman “preferably with experience”. Due to extra calls in recent weeks, the roster in Vijfheerenlanden has been completed, although there are still too few replacements on the reserve list.

The municipality of Vijfheerenlanden says: “Due to corona, we are looking for more available volunteers who can be deployed flexibly as replacements. The recent parliamentary elections showed that many members and counters dropped out until the last minute due to contamination or quarantine.”

Many other municipalities have completed the schedule, although new registrations in Houten and Zeist are still welcome.
