Monkeypox is not a new corona, summarized the European director of the World Health Organization WHO Hans Kluge at a press conference on Tuesday.
– We can and must respond to monkeypox together, Kluge said.
Monkey pox is a disease transmitted by a virus that has spread especially in Central Africa.
In Europe, a milder variant of the disease is found in about a hundred cases a month, Kluge said.
Monkeypox is not usually caught in short encounters in everyday life, but requires intimate contact to spread.
