For eight years, Daniel Helldén (MP) has been traffic councilor in Stockholm. 2014-2018 in a red-green coalition and 2018-2022 together with the alliance parties in a green-blue government.
Since the 2022 election, Daniel Helldén has been a member of parliament for the environmental party, and now he is being considered as a possible successor to Per Bolund as the party’s male spokesperson.
In his quest to develop Stockholm as a cycling and walking city, Helldén has become a controversial politician, with some seeing him as a symbol of anti-car politics.
