Police are searching for the owner of a sailboat left abandoned in the Port Stanley harbor this week and two men seen leaving it in a rental van.
Elgin County OPP said that though the boat was reported to them abandoned Wednesday, it was first docked on Aug. 25 at about 1:15 pm in the channel south of the lift bridge.
Two men in their mid 50s were spotted unloading items off the boat and into a Home Depot-branded rental van before leaving the area.
Police said they would like to locate the men and speak to them.
