Who are the ministers candidates for the 2024 legislative elections

Many ministers and delegated ministers of the Attal government have announced their intention to present their candidacies in the legislative elections on Sunday June 30 and July 7, 2024. Who are they and in which constituencies are they running? And which ministers take their turn?

Emmanuel Macron’s decision to dissolve the National Assembly after the very large victory of the National Rally for the Europeans imposes a very tight timetable on his own party. The President of the Republic has in fact set the date of June 30 for the first round of the early legislative elections, which means that candidacies must be submitted on Sunday June 16.

Around twenty members of the government have already announced their intention to run to save their seats as deputies in the legislative elections on June 30 and July 7.

If Prime Minister Gabriel Attal had remained absent until June 11, he finally announced that he would run in the 10th constituency of Hauts-de-Seine in Vanves where he had been elected in 2022, by almost 60% against the PS candidate. Faced with the Renaissance deputies, he promised to go “to the end of [son] duty” to “avoid the worst” in these elections where the National Rally (RN) is largely favored against Emmanuel Macron’s camp. Find out which of the ministers of the presidential majority are running, are considering or throwing in the towel for these crucial legislative elections.
