Developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros Games, Multiversus is already shaping up to be a serious competitor to the Super Smash Bros. series. Of undisguised Nintendo inspiration, Multiversus is a small cross-over combat game with big ambitions. Indeed, this new release is entirely free-to-play, and offers players the opportunity to embody more than sixteen characters from drastically opposed universes. Thus we can see Arya Stark breaking the figure of Bugs Bunny while Batman inflicts a rouste on Sam from Scooby Doo. The game is currently in its open beta phase, and currently only offers 16 playable characters. Each fighter is part of one of the game’s five predefined classes, namely the sacrosanct pentagon mage, assassin, bruiser, tank and support. Although Multiversus has only been open to players for a few hours, it is already possible to isolate certain characters who are a little stronger or weaker than the others. Also, keep in mind that this tier-list is applied to characters played individually, a rating that is generally quite difficult for tank-type and support-type characters, which are more effective in teams. In addition, some fighters at the top of the rankings are particularly difficult to master (Tom & Jerry and Harley Quinn for example), so also consider playing characters that you can easily tame.
