Coming out of Belmarsh prison, Stella Morrisvery moved, gives a speech of a few seconds: “ I am very happy and very sad. I wish he was with us. He is the most amazing person in the world. He should be free. »

Stella Morris wears a white dress and a veil made by Viviane Westwood, faithful supporter of the alert launcher. On the lawn that surrounds the red brick prison is a tent on which is written ” just married », with a white cake decorated with roses and bouquets of flowers.

A ceremony without guests

Some participants dressed up for the occasion, suits and ties and evening dresses, but they were not allowed to attend the ceremony, such as Craig Murray, dressed in a kilt, in tribute to Julian’s Scottish roots Assange: ” I was supposed to be one of the six guests for the wedding, but the prison objected because I’m a security hazard to the facility. I do not know why. How could I be a danger to a high security prison? It does not mean anything. I’m close friends with Julian, but I’m also a writer. They knew I would have written something, because it’s important for people to remember that he is a human being. »

Ten days ago, Britain’s highest court refused the appeal against his extradition to the United States. According to Julian Assange’s lawyers, remedies still exist.
