While everyone is talking about the iPhone 15… A source gave striking information on that subject!

While everyone is talking about the iPhone 15 A source

If the rumors are true, Apple will turn to the new generation chips of the M3 series after the M1 and M2 series chips. Allegedly, the new generation MacBooks will host Apple’s M3 chip. While it was said that the new generation chips would consist of M3, M3 Pro, M3 Max and M3 Ultra chips, remarkable claims came about the new chips.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman made claims about Apple’s M3 chips in his latest Power On newsletter. Based on developer records, Gurman suggested some information about the features of Apple’s M3, M3 Pro, M3 Max and M3 Ultra chips and which new Mac models they’ll be on.

Gurman stated that the actual specifications may change during the production process, so the version that consumers receive may differ from what Apple has tested internally.

HERE IS THE INFORMATION THAT GURMAN SHARED

M3

Features: eight CPU cores (four performance and four efficiency) and 10 GPU cores.
Possible Macs that will use the chip: Basic MacBook Pro, 13-inch MacBook Air, 15-inch MacBook Air, Mac mini, iMac. (Gurman claims that the next iPad Pro will also get the M3.)

M3 PRO

Basic configuration: 12 CPU cores (six performance and six efficiency) and 18 GPU cores.
Top configuration: 14 CPU cores (eight performance and below efficiency) and 20 GPU cores.
Possible Macs that will use the chip: 14-inch MacBook Pro, 16-inch MacBook Pro, Mac mini.

M3 MAX

Basic configuration: 16 CPU cores (12 performance and four efficiency) and 32 GPU cores.
Top configuration: 16 CPU cores (12 performance and four efficiency) and 40 GPU cores.
Possible Macs that will use the chip: 14-inch MacBook Pro, 16-inch MacBook Pro, Mac Studio.

M3 ULTRA

Basic configuration: 32 CPU cores (24 performance and eight efficiency) and 64 GPU cores.
Top configuration: 32 CPU cores (24 performance and eight efficiency) and 80 GPU cores.
Possible Macs that will use the chip: Mac Studio and Mac Pro (if Apple continues to manufacture them).

36GB AND 48GB VERSIONS

Aside from processing power, the number of memory options available is also said to be subject to change in Apple’s next-generation M3 powered Macs. Gurman suggested that the 36GB and 48GB versions of the MacBook Pros Apple tested were listed in the developer diaries. Currently, MacBook Pros (14 and 16 inch) are only available in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 96GB.

According to previous rumors, the M3 chip will use TSMC’s new 3nm manufacturing process instead of Apple’s 5nm process used for M1 and M2 chips.

Earlier this year, Gurman claimed that we could see the first Macs with the M3 chip in October.

However, he suggests we’ll have to wait until 2024 for Apple to start rolling out Macs that include the M3 Pro and M3 Max.

For the M3 Ultra, it may be necessary to wait even longer.

Finally, it is important to remember: Apple has not yet officially confirmed the existence of the M3 chip, so for now, it seems like it would be best to approach all this with caution and accept it as a claim.
