Which level of difficulty suits me?

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 can be a real challenge depending on the difficulty level. We’ll show you what you should pay attention to when choosing the difficulty level and how to change them.

What levels of difficulty are there? In Space Marine 2 you can adjust the difficulty levels of the campaign and the missions.

In the campaign, you can choose between “Easy,” “Normal,” “Veteran,” and “Angel of Death.” For the missions, which you can currently only play with others but not solo, you can choose between the levels “Minimal,” “Medium,” “Substantial,” and “Merciless.”

What you should consider when choosing the difficulty level

You can choose the difficulty level based on the following criteria, among others:

  • How much experience do you have with the game? If you are familiar with the game and have been playing it for a while, a higher difficulty level won’t hurt.
  • Do you play alone or with others? Although the bots support you in battle, they are not as smart as a real player. If you don’t have an AI teammate but a real person on your team, you can switch to a more difficult level.
  • Can you parry? Much of the combat in Space Marine 2 is based on parrying. If you’re not good at this, or are overwhelmed by other gameplay mechanics, you should choose a gentler level.
  • How do I change the difficulty level? If the current difficulty is too easy or too challenging for you, you can change it in the settings under “Game”. To do this, you must first complete the introductory mission before you get to the battle barge.

You can only adjust the difficulty level if you are here. If you are in the middle of a mission, you must first cancel or complete it to make changes. If you are playing with others, only the squad leader can adjust the difficulty.

Does the difficulty level affect the loot? Yes, he does. At least in the missions. On the easier difficulty levels you get more ammo and armor data and on the harder ones you get less.

In addition to the difficult enemies, you will have to make sure you manage your ammo properly. In addition, the Medicae stims restore less health the higher the difficulty level.

Not only the choice of difficulty level, but also the choice of your weapons and your class are crucial for your gaming experience. We have put together a tier list with all 22 weapons for you to use as a guide: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2: Tier List of the best weapons
