In which city in the world will you be the most likely to find your happiness if you’ve banned meat from your diet? London tops a ranking that lists 75 cities around the world made for vegetarians, ahead of Berlin and Munich.
Tell us what you eat, we’ll tell you where to live. And more specifically if you don’t eat meat. This is the approach of the Nestpick platform, which has drawn up a ranking of the 75 cities in the world most suitable for vegetarians. For example, where do you find the most restaurants and events (trade fairs, festivals) specializing in vegetarian or vegan diets? Which cities offer the best quality-price ratio for fruits, vegetables and plant proteins?
London is in first place, with an overall score of 100 out of 100. It is followed by the cities of Berlin and Munich, which register respectively a score of 98.7 and 97.1. The English capital stands out particularly for its range of restaurants and its fruit and vegetables at affordable prices. It should come as no surprise, however, that if you are a vegetarian and have visited London in recent years, the frequency of vegetarian options displayed on the menus must not have escaped your notice.
At the back of the pack, we find the city of São Paulo (Brazil) with a score of 49.6. You have to scroll to 61st place to fall on the French capital, which obtains a score of 90.1. Strasbourg (the only other city in France to figure in this ranking) is doing better: its score of 92.9 earned it 42nd place.
