Which animal is actually the fastest in Sweden? It simply depends on how you choose to look at the question. There are animals that are significantly faster in the air than on land. At the same time, airborne animals are significantly faster than other animals that do not have wings and can fly.
The fastest a human has run is 44.72 kilometers per hour. It was made by Usain Bolt 2009 during a 100-meter race.
However, the multiple Olympic gold medalist, named by the vast majority as the world’s fastest man, does not stand a chance against Sweden’s fastest animal.

The fastest animal in Sweden is a bird that can reach a top speed of an incredible 320 kilometers per hour.
Until 1972, the bird was endangered and even classified as critically endangered. But then things have turned around. Nowadays, the bird is classified as near-endangered and, according to the Nature Conservation Association, is considered to have a bright future ahead of it.

The peregrine falcon can fly at 320 km/h
The bird in question is the peregrine falcon, which can reach a speed of 320 kilometers per hour when it dives, according to Sweden’s Nature.
The peregrine falcon has in many respects come to be known as the world’s fastest bird and often reaches a speed of at least 200 kilometers per hour when it flies.
The bird is also the Nature Conservation Society’s own symbolic bird and the association has established “Project Peregrine Falcon” to save the falcon in Sweden.
However, the peregrine falcon is far from the only one that can reach high speeds. There are other birds that can also boast of serious top speeds.
Even land-dwelling animals can run incredibly fast.

Lynxes can run at 60 kilometers per hour.
The Swedish brown bear can also reach a speed of 60 kilometers per hour.
As you know, the king of the forest is the moose, which like the lynx and brown bear can also run at an incredible 60 kilometers per hour.
A Swedish fox can run at 50 kilometers per hour.
Wild boars run at a maximum speed of 48 kilometers per hour.

One of Sweden’s fastest animals on land is the forest hare, which was planted in southern Sweden in the 19th century and is today a naturally living species in our elongated country.
Thanks to its jumping technique and build, the hare can reach speeds of over 70 kilometers per hour.
The hunting association signs its homepage that thanks to the forest hare having such strong thigh muscles, long hind legs and paws with dense layers of hair, it can achieve such high speeds.
