In addition to the KBO, Van Lienden is also investing energy in the design of a new seniors’ association: Vechtse Plussers. Chairman Gisela Pel explains how this is exactly in line with the vision of the municipality: “In the beginning, a lot will have to be organized centrally, but the intention is that the ball will eventually start rolling.” Activities that Pel now envisions are a lot more active than those that can be seen here in De Vondel today. The focus is more on staying vital and moving. “Swimming, cycling, wild-picking walks, everything the new group of seniors feel like.”
