Wandering wolves. We see a lot of that in the Netherlands at the moment. Presumably they are the now 2-year-old boy of the wolf pair on the Veluwe. Young wolves stay in the pack with their parents for the first few years. The first year was full under the wings of their parents, the second year more free and as a babysitter for their often born younger brothers and sisters. When they are two, they leave the pack to look for a territory of their own.
