That carpenter came by in his canoe while Wennekendonk took a photo of the giant lily. That man was also curious about the lily and had made some calls. He told Wennekendonk that someone had placed the lily “from a protected environment in the canal”. A call to both Café Orloff and Villa Orloff yields no results. The manager of Villa Orloff says he employs several handymen, but “will ask around”.
