Zlatan Ibrahimovic has played with many good players.
But the question is whether he doesn’t have the greatest respect for himself.
When he took out his absolute dream eleven, he at least gave himself a slightly cocky nickname.
In Europe, he has played for Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Milan, PSG and Manchester United. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not only represented some of the world’s biggest clubs, but also played with some of the world’s best footballers of all time.
The incomparable dream elf
Ibrahimovic is also often included in the category as one of the best pure strikers of all time, and it’s easy to understand when you look at his near inhuman goalscoring record over the years. Ibrahimovic has won loads of titles, and has always been one of the football world’s most loved.
During all the years in world football, the Swede has managed to play with icons such as Lionel Messi, Gianluigi Buffon, Ronaldinho and Fabio Cannavaro. It was therefore really exciting when, a few years ago, when he was still playing for PSG, he had to select his very own dream eleven, players he had played with at some point during his career.
Clever nickname
So this was before the time in Manchester United and LA Galaxy, but it is still doubtful if anyone in those teams had found their way into the matchless eleven. But it wasn’t just the eleven themselves that were the entertainment. To each player, Ibrahimovic gave a nickname that suited the player in question. For example, Gianluigi Buffon, who was a goalkeeper, was nicknamed “The Wall”. And Lionel Messi was, according to Zlatan, called “The Genius”.
But Ibrahimovic obviously also took the opportunity to establish himself as a striker in the dream eleven, and he too was given a nickname by Zlatan himself. And there couldn’t have been a more typical Zlatan response. He said of himself, in short, “God”.
