Time to dust off the TV: The summer lull on TV is finally over. When RTL brings back the most memorable celebrities from 16 seasons (!) of show history for the all-star season of I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!, drama, arguments and starry-eyed attitudes are inevitable. Already in the first episode, the experienced reality professionals clash. For this reason, we do the big candidate check: Which celebrities will really show their claws in the showdown of the jungle legends?
Riot to the max: The jungle legends are aggressive from the first minute
Thorsten Legat – The (not so) gentle giant

Sports legend Legat wants to give it another go – and presents himself as confident as ever. The ex-footballer is not looking for arguments, but he doesn’t shy away from confrontations either. He lets the audience know that behind the smile lies a real fighter: “There are moments in life that hurt even Thorsten Legat. And when they come to light, things get really bad. Things get really bad.” The other campers should therefore not mess with the legacy.
Georgina Fleur – Mommy happiness in Dubai?

Controversial icon on TV: Georgina Fleur
With her numerous scandalous appearances on TV, Georgina Fleur has secured a place in the reality Olympus. For the jungle, she turns her back on her adopted home of Dubai and swaps the desert for the bush. Fleur still has to prove whether the red-haired TV terror in the summer jungle will polarize as much as she used to. In episode 1, she presents herself in a reserved manner as a full-blooded mother: “Now I have my wonderful, fulfilling everyday life as a mom.”
She has no desire for arguments: “I hate this fighting against each other. This is so exhausting.” Surprising words for the self-proclaimed drama queen. She proves in episode 1 that she still causes trouble. In Thorsten Legat’s opinion, she has a big problem: “She argues too long.”
Mola Adebisi – Fatherhood?
At first glance, Mola Adebisi always seems happy and content. The cult presenter has already proven during his time in the jungle camp that he can be different. In episode 1, he stands out with a more happy topic: the 51-year-old will soon be a father. His offspring spurs him on to victory: “I want to win for my son.”
Georgina elicits a Freudian slip from the father-to-be. She asks: “Are you going to be a dad for the first time?”whereupon he promptly: “For the first and last time.” answers. However, he was only alluding to his advanced age. So far, there is no sign of trouble: Mola Adebisi is the only one to refuse the first test at a dizzying height and prefers to receive a penalty.
Danni Büchner – Shows her true (new) face
Fans are particularly excited about her: No wonder – to this day, TV scandal queen Danni Büchner holds the record for the most jungle tests. No one has had to go as often as she has. Things are set to continue unabated in the summer jungle: Already in episode 1 it is noticeable that Büchner relies on provocation and attack. The scandalous emigrant is more confident than ever, not least because she is extremely proud of her drastic change of appearance. Her new look is due to a genuine makeover: “15 kilos lighter, long blonde hair, new boobs!” She can only hope that Danni Büchner will be more popular in the summer jungle than she was then. She has little good to say about her first time in the jungle: “I was the most unpopular girl in this camp!”
Hanka Rackwitz – Finally free and carefree
The former TV real estate agent became known on the Vox format rent, buy, live, but at the time hardly anyone suspected that behind the friendly smile there was a tragic secret: she suffered from anxiety disorders that severely limited her everyday life. Her openness on the subject was really well received by the 2017 jungle audience: in her season she even came in second place behind jungle king Marc Terenzi. After the show, however, things went quiet again for Rackwitz.
Now the red-haired TV star has the chance to impress again in the summer jungle. Hanka Rackwitz has largely overcome her fears. She seems upbeat and optimistic: obsessive-compulsive disorders and the like are probably a thing of the past. This will certainly please the other camp participants as well.
David Ortega – Fun with Flags

There’s a direct fight in the jungle: Ortega takes the lead.
Oops, what happened to Cologne 50667 star David Ortega? In the RTL 2 reality soap, he was considered an absolute heartthrob – now the former actor seems visibly different. In episode 1, Sonja Zietlow can’t help comparing himself to a “Flokati”. The drastic visual change from a dapper pretty boy to a Struwwelpeter also has something to do with the ex-actor’s new worldview. Ortega philosophizes about peace and veganism – but he still seems to magically attract beef: Already in the first episode, he clashes violently with the other campers. Legat had already expected something like this: “But of course he also has a way with him. Of course, he can also be exceptionally strict.”
Curiously, his luxury items are two flags from Germany and Spain. Estate agent Rackwitz can’t help but comment: “I was really afraid that I was the crazy one in the camp.”
Kader Loth – The reality queen wants to know again
Kader Loth is now a real reality veteran. Her striking styling, coupled with her incomparable diva attitude, has made her an indispensable icon on TV. Loth shows unashamedly that she really likes herself: During her first time in the jungle, she was the biggest star of the season. After all, we didn’t hear anything from the others afterwards: “Where are the others? No idea!” The experienced TV diva is probably alluding to her well-deserved legendary status.
When Kader Loth meets Winfried Glatzeder, she shows her tact: “But I thought they were dead long ago.” It will definitely cause conflicts.
Winfried Glatzeder – Wants the 100,000 at any price
He caused quite a stir even before the TV broadcast. The aging cult actor broke the age record by rejoining the camp. At almost 80 years old, he is daring to enter the show again – but can he really keep up with the tough competition? (Read more about Glatzeder’s age record here.) He himself is warning that he will not be the most popular candidate in the jungle: Glatzeder feeds his bad boy image and provokes wherever he can from episode 1. He is constantly making digs, but at least he has no illusions: “It’s a special, unpleasant way that I have.” But there is no trace of guilt: “When you’re as evil as I am, you have fun doing it.”
Kader Loth has nothing good to say about the aggressive senior: “A bit malnourished, grey hair, beer belly. That’s what happens when you don’t have any work for a long time.” Ouch, that hit home.
Giulia Siegel – Glatzeder and she will probably not be friends

Cries a lot: Giulia Siegel is very emotional.
Giulia Siegel is an indispensable part of TV. The daughter of Eurovision legend Ralph Siegel has already done every reality TV show that German private television has to offer. In episode 1, Siegel is as tough as ever. She is happy that challenging competition awaits her in the all-star season: “Then we will fight with each other on equal terms.” But it’s best not to get the TV blonde wrong. When Giulia Siegel bursts into tears in episode 1, Glatzeder reacts insensitively – and promptly receives a less than flattering verdict: “There are people who become a bit bitter as they get older.”
Eric Stehfest – Has he atoned for his “sins”?
He caused an absolute scandal in his jungle season: Stehfest refused to take part in a jungle test because he didn’t want to win food for his hated fellow campers. (Read more about the scandal of the season here) In the summer jungle, however, the ex-GZSZ actor is completely different: Already in episode 1 he proves that he wants to try new things. Instead of an ego trip, Stehfest shows team spirit and even helps out with the disgusting food test. Why is the reformed scandal celebrity going back into the jungle? “I have already had many therapies”, admits Stehfest. According to him, the jungle was one of the better ones.
Gigi Birofio – reality star with a scandalous past
Gigi polarizes like no other. While some celebrate his “chubby” persona as an entertaining role, others feel seriously offended. From minute 1, Gigi makes one thing clear: he wants to maintain his bad boy image at all costs. The macho provokes wherever he can and makes a statement to his competition: “You can move aside because daddy is here.”
You can read here whether the reality star should still be seen on RTL after his summer house scandal. He was kicked out of the show after a violent scandal. So it’s no wonder that fans are excited to see whether emotions will soon boil over in the jungle too. There is definitely potential for conflict.
Sarah Knappik – Her time in the jungle was “mobbing”

It can also be different: Knappik dishes it out.
Her career started with GNTM, and since then she has become an integral part of reality TV. The TV blonde is as always: disorganized, a little confused – but always with her heart on her sleeve. She takes it in her stride that she is now old hat: she describes herself as “Old-timers of reality TV.” Hard to believe: Knappig has been on TV for 17 years. She herself can hardly comprehend that she is part of the legends jungle: “Somehow I always get taken out of the box.”
One thing we can only hope for Knappik is that her time in the summer jungle is more harmonious than her first stay in the jungle camp. She found her time in the camp extremely stressful. According to Knappik, the situation at the time was reminiscent of bullying.
