Ahmed Shara, the leader of the new administration in Syria, spoke to Al Arabiya TV. Shara said that uniform appointments are necessary to work in harmony and said, “The current period is a preliminary preparation for an interim government with a longer term of office.”

“THE COUNTRY WILL NOT BE DIVIDED”

Emphasizing that it will take about a year for Syrians to observe the radical change, Shara stated that they will not allow Syria to become the attack base of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, and that the Kurds are an integral part of Syria and the country will not be divided.

Referring to the contacts with PKK/YPG, which uses the name SDF, Shara stated that they are conducting negotiations to resolve the crisis in northeastern Syria and then integrate this group into the government’s armed forces.

GAVE A DATE FOR ELECTIONS

Ahmed Shara stated that the liberation of Syria will ensure stability in the region for 50 years, and that the preparation and writing of a new constitution in the country may take approximately 3 years, and the elections will be held approximately 4 years later.

Stating that with the overthrow of the Bashar Assad regime, Iran lost an important ally in the region and that an important corridor providing land weapons support to Hezbollah was destroyed, Shara said that Russia’s last efforts for the new administration in Syria, despite losing its ally in Damascus, which it had defended for years, He noted that the statements were quite positive.

Stating that he wants Russia to leave the country in a way that befits its relationship with Syria, Shara stated that Moscow has strategic importance for Syria.
