When “Tony Rickardsson” offered a clever New Year’s greeting – through the classic imitation that just about everyone loves

And what could be better than checking out the New Year’s greeting from “Tony Rickardsson”.

Robert Gustafsson has created endless classic moments with his incredibly beautiful humor over the years – which has made him one of Sweden’s most beloved comedians.

The iconic imitation

At the sports gala in 2003, he appeared for the first time dressed as the iconic speedway driver Tony Rickardsson – something that made all of Sweden cheer. In the middle of an award ceremony, Gustafsson appeared on a motocross bike which he gassed up on stage in the Globe (or Avicii Arena as it is now called).

He then pulled off the iconic Tony Rickardsson impersonation to great cheers from the audience. Since then, the phrase “I’m not bitter” has stuck with every Swede. Since then, Robert Gustafsson has appeared at the Sports Gala on several occasions to recreate the success, and he has also posted several imitations on Facebook.

And perhaps this particular imitation is one of the absolute best. In full gear, he sits next to his Christmas tree and just drives, belting out quote after quote before finishing with a snap song and a New Year’s nub.
