Top Chef is coming back very soon for its season 14 on M6. The sixth channel has finally unveiled the broadcast date of the episodes for 2023.
The return of Top Chef was long overdue for fans of the cooking show. Fortunately, M6 has remedied this by announcing this Tuesday the return date of the program for its season 14. It is on March 1, 2023 that the first episode of the cooking competition will be broadcast on the sixth channel. A new episode will then be available every Wednesday evening, from 9:10 p.m.
Top Chef is renewing itself in depth for its next season. The contours of the culinary competition were unveiled on December 9th. With big “structural and mechanical” changes to come: the 16 candidates will only participate in two events each week, so that the episodes are shorter. Consequence of this decision, and not the least: finished the test of the last chance!
If the Top Chef jury does not change in season 14 (Glenn Viel, Paul Pairet, Philippe Etchebest and Hélène Darroze), there will be no red brigade this year. However, Hélène Darroze does not disappear from the competition, since she will conduct her own secret competition in parallel: each week, the eliminated candidates will compete for the duration of a test. The last in the running will be able to rejoin Top Chef, directly in the quarter-finals.
Finally, the episodes of Top Chef 2023 will each have a specific related theme that can make gastronomy more accessible to the public. Among the events that we can see during the season, note that the black box becomes the white box, which will put more emphasis on the five senses, or even a test in a food market or the return of the test with the children.

Since the creation of Top Chef, the show’s jury has evolved from season to season, with some chefs leaving the show to be replaced by new names from the French culinary scene. In 2023, the jurors of the previous season are back. Philippe Etchebest, Hélène Darroze, Paul Pairet and Glenn Viel return. Note, however, that Hélène Darroze will have a very special role. There will be no red brigade this year, but a secret competition in parallel which will save a candidate for the quarter-finals.
Louise Bourrat is the big winner of Top Chef in 2022. Hélène Darroze’s candidate faced Arnaud Delvenne in the final of the M6 competition on June 15, 2022. She won the hearts of the jury and Red Cross volunteers with 56.19% of the votes against the Belgian competitor who won 43.81% of the votes. Thanks to her victory, Louise from Top Chef won a check for 56,190 euros, which she intends to invest in her establishment. Indeed, the 26-year-old candidate is the chef of her own restaurant in Lisbon, Portugal.
