London Police Chief Cressida Dick announced Tuesday, January 25 morning that the Metropolitan Police will investigate ” several events » organized in Downing Street during the confinements. At least 19 gatherings have taken place, which appear to have breached current health rules – parties, Christmas meals, a birthday snack for Boris Johnson.

The “Met” was widely criticized since the beginning of these revelations for its refusal to investigate. Cressida Dick confirms that investigators are generally not interested in offenses retroactively. But it was necessary to avoid the crisis of confidence and legitimacy.
