When Mats Sundin provoked bile fever on his teammates – and a jealous Tie Domi suddenly threw himself forward

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Mats Sundin and Tie Domi were close friends – on and off the ice.
But in a classic commercial, it did not matter.

Then Sudden bile fever irritated his protector – who responded with a real bang.

The 1994/1995 season will always be a significant time for the Toronto Maple Leafs. There were huge changes made then, but the outcome was absolutely brilliant.

Clockless advertising

It was the season that the club made perhaps its most talked about trio ever. They chose to dump the crowd favorite Wendel Clark, who was the archetype of a North American hockey player. He could tackle rock hard, he fought – and scored lots of goals. But he was replaced, and instead a certain Swede, named Mats Sundin, joined the club.

At the same time, the team brought in Tie Domi, and he would prove to be almost at least as important as Sudden in the club. Domi was not the cheekiest player, or the top scorer, but acted as Sundin’s patron during all the years in Toronto, and the two became good friends both on and off the ice. Mats Sundin was a humble guy with his feet on the ground, who was loved by all his teammates.

Domis ilska

He was perhaps not the one who stuck out his chin most outside the ice, but often let the game on the ice speak instead. He was not a braggart right away, which made a commercial for McDonalds even more fun when it was released. The campaign was that you could get hockey cards when you buy food at the fast food chain, and Sundin was one of the players whose cards you could get.

In the commercial, Sundin goes on a plane and talks about how happy he is to be part of the campaign, and also about how his teammates are happy for him. But at the same time, he gets stuff thrown at him by the jealous teammates, and worst of all behaves, of course, Tie Domi. The advertisement ends with Domi putting his hands on Sundin – and throwing him down in the seat. Here we are talking about two true legends! What profiles.
