With Minari director Lee Isaac Chung directing Episode 3, the next chapter features a familiar face in the director’s chair. Carl Weathers, who stars as Greef Karga in The Mandalorian, is returning to direct the Star Wars series. He previously directed the 4th episode of the 2nd season.
The 19th Mando adventure was written by series creator and showrunner Jon Favreau. He has been assisted by Dave Filoni, the creative mind behind animated series like The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Maybe we can look forward to one or the other cameo in the 4th episode.
The return of Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), who will be getting her own series on Disney+ later this year, would be a good idea. Given that Filoni is heavily involved in the making of the spin-off, it would make perfect sense for The Mandalorian season 3 episode 4 to lead into the Ahsoka series.
