What is the current standing? Dark and Darker is still in alpha and will run playtests from time to time. During the tests you can try out the dungeon crawler alone or together with friends.
Playtest 4 is currently running and has been active since February 6th. The test phase was supposed to be over by now, but the developers extended it by a few days. Now it is clear at what time the current demo ends.

When does playtest 4 end? The end is on February 16 at 09:00 German time. Until then, you can still let off steam in the game and try out the changes in the latest hotfix. The time was confirmed by the Dark and Darker team on the game’s official Discord.
So you still have a few hours to farm Golden Keys and secure big loot:

However, there have been server problems more frequently in the last few days. According to the developers, this is due to an attack on the server. It is unclear whether the servers will remain online longer due to the downtime and whether the time for the end of playtest 4 will be postponed again.

This was planned: Originally, the current playtest was only supposed to be active until February 13th. But the developers extended the duration. This was due to trading post downtime, matchmaking and lost game time for players who were accidentally banned.
