The bad news: It will probably be a long time before the film’s release. Due to the strike by screenwriters and actors in Hollywood, many projects have recently come to a standstill. Holland also wanted to take a year off before starring in a big blockbuster again.
When does Spider-Man 4 start? There are currently many indications that the No Way Home sequel will not arrive in cinemas until 2025 or 2026 at the earliest.
Will Andrew Garfield return in Spider-Man 4?
Spider-Man: No Way Home brought Andrew Garfield, known from The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro, into the MCU thanks to the multiverse trick. To date, there are no known plans as to whether he will star in further adventures from the Disney-based franchise.

Should Garfield take up his role as the planned Peter Parker again in the foreseeable future, it will more likely take place in one of the films from Sony’s Marvel universe, which includes Venom, Morbius, Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter. A look into the rumor mill suggests an appearance in Venom 3. (via Reddit)
Will Tobey Maguire return in Spider-Man 4?
Garfield isn’t the only friendly neighborhood spider making his return after a long time in No Way Home. Tobey Maguire, who appeared in Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3, also plunges into the Marvel cosmos once again to save the world. But will he stay in the MCU long-term?

Will Daredevil return in Spider-Man 4?
A special cameo in No Way Home occurs right at the beginning of the film. Charlie Cox appears as lawyer Matt Murdock from the Netflix series Marvel’s Daredevil. He was last seen in superhero form in She-Hulk: The Lawyer. It’s very likely that Cox is a part of Spider-Man 4’s story.

The film will primarily be about Holland’s Peter Parker finding his place in the MCU again after all of his memories have been erased. In addition, the film will be released as… “Street Level Civil War” circumscribed, meaning that characters outside of the major Avengers based in New York can appear, such as Kate Bishop, Jessica Jones and Echo. Are these really the plans for Spider-Man 4?
As exciting as the speculation surrounding Spider-Man 4 and the other Marvel projects is, it should be clearly mentioned again at the end of this article: These are just rumors. Much of this may be completely wrong, some may be true. Spider-Man: No Way Home is proof that no secret is safe in Hollywood.
Reports about Garfield and Maguire’s involvement were circulating long before the film’s release, which ultimately came true. Others, however, don’t: Emma Stone and Kirsten Dunst, for example, didn’t make it into the film, although they had previously been linked to the multiverse adventure several times.
