The third season of Bridgerton has finally served us its second part and four brand new episodes on Netflix. With a grand finale full of dramatic revelations and surprising twists The season at the London court finally came to an end.
In addition to burning questions about the future of Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), Benedict (Luke Thompson), Eloise (Claudia Jessie) or Francesca (Hannah Dodd), there is one big question mark: when will we see a Season 4 from Bridgerton. Series creator Jess Brownell recently gave some insight into this.
Bridgerton Season 4 probably won’t come before 2026 ‒ and there are several reasons for that
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell revealed the first details about the highly anticipated fourth season. She explained that fans can look forward to some great new episodes:
I am very excited about what we are writing. We are almost at the end of our writing process and the scripts. And I feel it is one of my best works and that of my writing team. We’ve optimized our collaboration and are doing our best, so I can’t wait for the fans to see what we’ve created.
At the same time, however, Brownell explained that a new season would mean a lot of work, so fans would have to wait about two years before they can expect season 4 on Netflix:
We’re trying to get the seasons out a little faster, but it takes eight months to shoot and then they have to be edited and dubbed in every language. And the writing takes time too, so we’re just in a two-year cycle. We’re trying to speed it up, but it will be roughly in this range.This is how it could continue in Bridgerton Season 4
Jess Brownell also gave a hint – at least vaguely – when asked which characters and couples the new season will focus on. She believes that fans will be very happy with a love story in particular:
It’s hard to say because there will be a lot of pairings. One of the new couples will make the fans very very happy.
So we have no choice but to wait about two years until we get final answers. Bridgerton Season 4 may reach us in Spring to summer 2026.
