Navy Commander Admiral Dong Jun was appointed to replace Defense Minister Li Shangfu, who was dismissed after disappearing for a while in China.

According to Xinhua News Agency, the Central Committee of the National People’s Congress appointed Admiral Dong, who served as the Navy Commander, as the country’s new Minister of Defense.
Chinese Defense Minister Li was dismissed on October 24 after not taking part in public events for an unknown reason for a long time. Since no appointment was made to replace Li, the position of the Ministry of Defense remained vacant for a long time.
