Mats Sundin was inducted into the hockey Hall of Fame.
The legend’s speech of thanks, directly to the family, is hard not to be touched by.
There is no doubt that Mats Sundin is one of Sweden’s best hockey players of all time. The icon spent most of his career in the NHL and Toronto, where he became a true faithful servant.
Incredible career
“Sudden” made history when he was drafted as number one in the first round. He became the first Swedish player ever to become just that, and it was only the start of a career that just screams success.
He played over 1300 matches in the world’s best league and averaged over one point per match. Completely incomparable figures that only the very best manage to achieve. The heavyweight center ended his career in 2009 and there was no doubt at all that he would later be inducted into the hockey Hall of Fame.

The prestigious merit was completely completed in 2012 and Mats Sundin is thus one of those who made the biggest impression in the history of hockey. He was of course on hand to receive the honorary award, and his speech of thanks afterwards is truly magical.
It’s pretty easy to see that this meant a lot to Mats Sundin – and when his family comes up, the legend can not hold back tears.
