When a 21-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic stepped up – and got the Premier League’s biggest bully after him

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not afraid of anyone.
He certainly showed that during a training match against Manchester United when he collided with Roy Keane.

There is no doubt that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of Sweden’s greatest footballers of all time. There is no one who can match the 40-year-old’s enormous track record, which includes twelve league titles, among other things.

The stay in Holland

He won the very first one with Dutch Ajax – where he was signed in the summer of 2001. And he already won the league title in his first season where he was a strong contributor with his 24 league matches in his debut year.

There are many fond memories of Zlatan Ibrahimovic during his first European assignment. Most of all, one probably remembers his legendary solo raid in a match against NAC Breda, which has become one of his most iconic goals throughout his career.

But there are also other wonderful moments with Zlatan from his time in Holland – where he directly showed that he is not afraid of any player.

Clashed with the Archbus

During a training match before the 2002/03 season, his Ajax was pitted against a star-studded Manchester United. David Beckham, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Roy Keane were among others on the field, and the latter is someone you don’t want to mess with.

Britten was a real tough guy during his years as a soccer player, and a real badass. But it was something that Zlatan Ibrahimovic completely ignored, and probably did what no one else had dared.

He got into a row with Phil Neville, and despite Roy Keane rushing in, the row with the players continued. It finally ended with the referee having to put Keane away, which made Zlatan Ibrahimovic draw a mocking grin at the Briton.
