Oudewater, Woerden – Wheelchair tennis player Diede de Groot has won the US Open for the fifth time. The first seeded player from Oudewater and number 1 in the world did so by beating the Japanese Yui Kamiji, the number 2 on the seeding list, in three sets: 3-6 6-1 6-1. The match lasted 2 hours and 13 minutes.
