Wheatley man facing possession of stolen property over 5K charges

A 49-year Wheatley man has arrested and charged after the Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant on Thursday on Ridge Road in the Town of Essex.

A 49-year Wheatley man was arrested and charged after the OPP community street crime unit searched a Ridge Road cleanliness Thursday in the Town of Essex.

The unit reportedly recovered multiple stolen items, resulting in the accused being charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by a crime with a value more than $5,000.

Provincial police provided photos of three pickup trucks, three trailers and a Bobcat machine that were reportedly recovered.

The accused was released with a future court date, OPP said.
