The specialized site WABetaInfo spotted in WhatsApp beta version 2.23.22.4 for Android and beta version 23.21.1.73 for iOS – available only through TestFlight, Apple’s system for installing pre-release versions of apps – that it It is now possible to send ephemeral voice messages – they can only be listened to once. A function that already exists for photos and videos, and which has been expected for almost a year for text messages – in vain. When you record a voice in locked mode – by pressing the microphone icon at the bottom right of the screen then pressing the padlock – you can now see a new “See once” icon in the bar. record, in the form of a “1”. When pressed, the voice note is sent in “single view” mode, so the recipient cannot export, transfer, save or save it. Neither he nor you can listen to it a second time because it is automatically deleted after opening.
This mode helps minimize the risk of audio disclosure, providing a new level of privacy for sensitive and confidential information.
