When a spam message appears on your lock screen, just long press on the notification and you’ll see. You get many options, including the option to block the sender right there. The app also displays a secondary prompt if you want to report a contact. All you have to do is tap the “Report person” checkbox and then hit “Block” on the pop-up. The update eliminates the hassle of opening the app and scrolling through chats to block these annoying messages.

The purpose of this update is to save you time when you want to block someone without having to navigate submenus and hassle with finding and opening chats. Before this, you had to open a chat and search in the overflow menu to find the block option. Another option was to long-press on a message in the chat list and then enter the overflow menu to find the “block” option.
