WhatsApp now allows you to create and manage personalized lists for your chats and groups. This should make your life easier, especially if you have many contacts!
WhatsApp is such a practical instant messaging tool that we easily find ourselves having dozens, or even more, conversations at the same time. Between discussions with loved ones and group discussions, we can quickly become overwhelmed and get lost in the thread of numerous conversations! Also, last July, Meta deployed a highly anticipated function, namely a “Favorites” filter to save precious time, particularly in urgent situations or when it comes to frequently contacting specific contacts (see our article). But WhatsApp doesn’t plan to stop there! In fact, the company announces the deployment of a new list function allowing people and groups to be managed, after several months of development.
WhatsApp lists: better manage your discussions and groups
The new WhatsApp function allows you to create different lists to organize your contacts and groups, thus guaranteeing precise management of your interactions. This should be particularly useful, for example, for separating work colleagues, family members or groups of friends. This promises to be a relief, especially for users with many contacts.
To use it, simply press the + button which appears at the top of the discussion list, after the filters. It is possible to modify the lists already created at any time by long-pressing the button for the list in question.
Hopefully this new list feature may also pertain to status updates in the future. This way, we could share our photos and videos with specific groups, without having to send them to all contacts or adjust privacy settings for each sending. All you would need to do is select the appropriate list. Lists are starting to roll out now and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
