WhatsApp is preparing to review the interface of vocal and video calls, by adding new practical buttons and integrating emojis reactions. Enough to get off in all situations!
There is not a month without WhatsApp receiving new functions or improvements. In recent months, the app has continued to evolve with a host of new products, especially for its audio and video calls. Thus, it recently improved the sound quality of audio-video calls, increased the number of participants, as well as added the possibility of calling only certain members of a group and reminders for messages left unanswered. But instant messaging does not intend to stop there, as discovered by the specialized site Wabetainfo In the latest beta version (2.25.10.16) of the Android app, it is about to simplify the management of incoming calls with a new interface.
WhatsApp: very useful options for video calls
From now on, the notification panel has three buttons: responding, refusing, but also silent, which allows you to instantly deactivate the microphone. A very practical button to quickly accept a call without immediately engaging in conversation, in the event of a meeting or noisy environment for example.
On the call interface, a new button also appears to allow a video call to accept while deactivating the camera (see our article). An option that avoids embarrassing situations – when the user is in pajamas, is not primed, has just woken up or lives a difficult evening for example.
Finally, WhatsApp introduces emojis reactions during video calls, in order to make interactions more dynamic and expressive. This function allows participants to react in real time without interrupting the conversation orally. For example, it is possible to send an inch raised to express their agreement, an emoji laughing in response to a joke or a heart to express their gratitude. This should appeal to the most shy! All these new features are currently exclusively reserved for the beta version testers, but their deployment with the general public should not be long.
